Graham Clifford

Graham Clifford is a second-generation Type/Design Director. He was trained by his father, before working for some of London’s best advertising agencies including Collett Dickenson Pearce and Gold Greenlees Trott.

He relocated to New York City and plied his craft at Chiat/Day and Ogilvy before opening his own design consultancy collaborating with ad agencies and directly with clients on projects including branding, advertising and design where his clients range from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.

Awards received along the way have included One Show pencils, Communication Arts, Type Directors Club and Art Directors Club appearances as well as a silver pencil at D&AD.

In his spare time he acts as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Type Directors Club.

James Clunie

James is an EVP/Senior Creative Director at BBDO in New York, working primarily on HBO, The Economist, AT&T and a few others. Prior to BBDO he was at Carmichael Lynch in 2000 where he split his time pretty evenly between working on American Standard and avoiding Steve Casey - the biggest Prima donna at the agency. James' work has won gold at The One Show, Cannes, Clios, Andys and New York Art Directors Club. James lives in Manhattan with his wife Lisa and their son Jimmy.

Kevin Chan

Kevin is a Senior Art Director at The Barbarian Group's New York office. He's an old hat, having joined the team in 2003. Over the past 7 years, Kevin's roles have included concepting, design, and Flash development for numerous brands including Nike, Volkswagen, Virgin Atlantic, Kashi, CNN, Samsung, and Red Bull. (And no, he didn't make the Subservient Chicken, but he did spend countless hours testing it!) However, his most notable contribution to the company has been Formal Fridays. Feel free to ask him about it.

Prior to becoming a Barbarian, Kevin spent time in San Francisco and Chicago, honing his interactive design skills at ThunkDesign, Electronic Arts, and HCSC. He thought it'd be a good way to put his education to the test, since he studied Computer Science, Fine Arts, and Communications in the Digital Media Design program at UPenn. Before that, he was busy figuring out what to do with his life in his hometown of Vancouver.

Paul Stechschulte

An Art Director by trade, Paul joined Goodby Silverstein & Partners in the spring of 2007 where he is a Creative Director. His resume includes tours of duty at W+K Amsterdam, 180 Amsterdam and nearly 6 years at Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami. Paul started his career at Clarity, Coverdale, Fury in Minneapolis in 1997. Since arriving at GSP, Paul has helped create the internationally award winning Sprint "Now Network" campaign. His television spot for Nextel was one of only 8 nominated for an Emmy in 2009.

In 2002 Paul and colleagues reintroduced the MINI brand to the US for BMW. The highly successful launch did not include a single television ad; unheard of in the US automobile category. Paul's work for the American Legacy Foundations "Truth" campaign is credited with preventing over 700,000+ US teens from starting to smoke. A fact that reminds Paul that advertising can do powerful things when harnessed for good.

His work has been honored by every award show in the industry. Winning the One Show's "Best of Show" and the Titanium Lion in Cannes top the lengthy cross-medium list. More importantly his work has constantly gotten recognition from the "judges" of pop culture - being spoofed on "Late Night with Connan O'brien" and mocked in pages of the UK's Sun. His client experience includes BMW MINI, Nike, Adidas, Sprint, Nextel, Virgin Atlantic, Burger King, EA Games, Carlsberg, IKEA and Method Home to list a few.

When not thinking about his clients business Paul spends time grooming the future of the industry by teaching and participating on the Board of Advisors at the Creative Circus in Atlanta.Paul lives in Berkeley, CA with his wife Julieana and children, Nolan and Cate.
